I'm not sure that I want to spend the money on a photo booth.  We hear that all the time and we agree that for smaller weddings or events, a photo booth can be a waste of money.  In fact, some of the higher end photo booths can cost more than $1000 to rent for your event.  Those magic mirror style photo booths come to mind.  While they look pretty cool, do they really deliver more bang for the buck, since they deliver prints, texts, etc., exactly like the less expensive options?  To be fair, the DJ's spend a ton of money purchasing those booths, so they are typically more expensive to rent.
There must be less expensive options...
Luckily, there are less expensive type booths such as the selfie style booth.  A typical photo booth prints the photos and the printer option costs the DJ money as a consumable, therefore they need to charge quite a bit extra and those printers are bulky and heavy.  The selfie booth allows party-goers the option to take a beautiful photo with a Canon camera and write a nice little note on it for the bride and groom or party recipient.  Then instead of the photo being printed out, the photo is sent via text message to the people in the photo and can automatically be sent to social media sites, etc.  The person for whom the photos are for then can get copies of all of the event photos on a flash drive.  The selfie booth still utilizes a backdrop and props, so it has all of the fun of a traditional photo booth, but it's quite a bit less expensive.
So if you're looking for all of the fun of a traditional photo booth without breaking the bank, the selfie booth might just be the option for you.  So grab a prop, strike a pose and have some fun!
